“The International School of Denver is a Pre-K-8 language immersion school located in Denver’s Lowry neighborhood. We opened as a French immersion school over 45 years ago in 1977. Today, we serve over 700 students across four programs:
- Chinese
- French
- Spanish
- International Baccalaureate Middle School
Our students are taught by native speakers from China, France, and Spain and learn more than just language. Our students not only learn how to learn, they learn to love learning. Through play-based and project-based learning techniques, we teach a framework for learning that can transcend the four corners of the classroom. We aren’t teaching to a test. We are teaching students how to be curious and empathetic life-long learners, with a growth and global mindset.
More than just a language school, we are an international community for families from around the world.
Our story is inspiring. But, it is nuanced and layered and wasn’t the easiest one to tell. And we didn’t have a visual identity or voice that told our story succinctly or was elevated enough to match the caliber of the programming we offer.
We were in desperate need of a brand refresh that captured these ambitious goals:
- Create a uniform look, feel, and voice for the school.
- Inspire unity among our community behind the brand.
We wrote our request for proposal and offered it to a variety of creative suppliers both local in Denver and nationwide, some specific to just education and some with experience across verticals. Techint was in this candidate pool.
Techint immediately stood out from the pack by doing something no other firm did. They asked for a tour of our campus. And when they came, they were engaged and asked thoughtful questions and were so genuinely curious that it created a lasting impression. And when it came time to pitch their proposal, it was clear they just got us. That they understand all that which is so special about us and, at the same time, the intricate challenges we faced in telling our story.
From the very beginning, Technint was our partner. They stepped beside us and lead us through discovery, taking lead in a strategic focus group and competitor analysis, to ultimately revealing to us a voice and look that aligned so beautifully with our Mission, Vision, and Values it was clear it had always belonged to us – we just needed them to chip away and find it.
This project was a highlight of my professional career – the outcome has elevated our school in every way and given us the north star we were seeking.”
